The Wisdom of the Waning Crescent: Embracing the Path of the Crone

This day retreat is designed for women on the threshold of the “second half of life,” as well as those already well-established in the journey toward Cronehood.

We will touch on the physical aspects of aging and of passing through the transition of menopause, but spend even more time discussing and exploring the emotional, spiritual, and psychological aspects of this journey. What messages do we receive from our culture as we age? How have other cultures, over various times and geographies, treated this phase in women’s lives? What might the “Grandmother Hypothesis” mean for us? What do we want for ourselves during     our “second act” (and are there really only just 2 acts)? We will explore what we need to let go, what we need to tend, and what has rested too long unfulfilled. 

Whether you are experiencing perimenopause, grieving and/or celebrating an empty nest, inspired by new freedom, suffering the throes of hormonal whiplash, coming undone, or feeling restored - this day retreat will offer you solace, community, laughter, empathy, ideas, knowledge, comfort, and inspiration. This retreat is also timed to occur during the time of a waning crescent moon.
